AClass Academy of English is an English Language Centre which forms part of St. Catherine’s High School. The school is located in Pembroke, a residential area of the island, it is close to the sea and the shops. Our school has several air-conditioned classrooms, and offers General and Intensive English Courses all year round. There is clear focus on grammar and vocabulary with plenty of colloquial language, idioms and high frequency phrases. There is plenty of speaking and using English to communicate in real life situations. This includes work on pronunciation and use of idioms and colloquial expressions which are integrated into our topic-based lessons. AClass teachers will make sure you practise the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Exam Preparation Course (Cambridge/IELTS)
The language course is designed to help students prepare for specific English language proficiency exams. These qualifications prove you have the language skills to live and work independently in an English-speaking country or study on courses taught in English. Our English examination courses are carefully designed, using modern course books and materials and our team of dedicated English language teachers is always on hand to guide you through the examination process.
We offer preparation in the following English language examinations;
- IELTS (final exam every month)
- Cambridge Suite of Exams (FCE, CAE or PET examinations)
- TOEFL
Examinations can be taken in Malta or in the student’s home country.

CANCELLATION PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
The school cannot give you a refund of the deposit if you cancel the course after the booking has been confirmed. We can not give refunds if you arrive late, leave early or miss part of the course.
There is NO deposit refund once your course has been booked. After you have accepted a place on a course, we cannot repay your deposit. In the event that you cancel, this deposit will be used to pay cancellation fees to hotels/ host families and to teachers as well as to cover any extra administrative charges.
If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the course you will be charged for one week course. If you have booked accommodation and cancel the accommodation less than 14 days before arrival you will be charged for one week of accommodation.
