Our intensive course is great for those that need to improve quickly. Students will learn how to use English clearly and accurately within a short period. This course will also educate students on how to use English naturally in everyday situations. Classes focus on accuracy, fluency and pronunciation.
A mixture of reading, writing, listening and speaking is used in class by experienced teachers. Unlike the Semi-Intensive English course, this course includes an extra hour per day to help you improve your pronunciation and your knowledge of natural expressions.
In the mornings we focus on grammar and English language use. In the afternoons, we focus on speaking, listening, reading, fluency and pronunciation. Students on this course should expect to make big improvements in their English skills.
Students will get 25 hours of lesson time per week and regular homework. Classes start in the morning and continue into the afternoon.
Discounts are available after three weeks' of lessons.

Semi-Intensive General English (GE21)
This semi-intensive course combines accuracy with fluency. In the mornings, students will increase their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. In the afternoons, there are classes focused onimproving communication skills. This style of teaching allows students learn the rules of English and then put them into practice straight away.

General English for Accuracy (GE15)
This course helps you improve your grammar and accuracy. Students will learn how to develop their vocabulary by speaking, listening, reading and writing. Each week has specific vocabulary and grammar aims which are tested at the end of each week.

Our Business English Course is great for anyone that wants to use English for work. Many professionals and business students take this course to improvetheir skills and prospects. GE15+ IELTS Exam Preparation
Our General English and IELTS exam preparation course is a combination course which runs all year around for students of intermediate level and above. In the morning classes you practise grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, speaking, pronunciation and writing in a communicative environment using a set course book. Your progress in these classes is measured through weekly, mid-course and end of course tests.
The afternoon sessions will prepare you to take the Academic version of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. These classes will teach you the techniques and skills required to succeed in the four parts of the exam: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
There will be significant amounts of homework and this course focuses on improving your general English as well as exam preparation. Our experienced teachers will help you get the best score you can.

Our Business English Course is great for anyone that wants to use English for work. Our courses are designed for professionals who are unable to study during the day. Many professionals take this course to improve their skills and prospects.

With our one-to-one private English lessons, you can choose what you want to study. Experienced English language tutors will help you to make a plan based on your goals and timescale. You can choose any number of lessons and we will try to arrange them around your schedule. If you need to learn intensively, private lessons are a great way of maximising your time.
You may choose any area or topic in the English language you wish to improve on. • Courses start every Monday. • Each lesson consists of 45 minutes. • An intermediate level of English or higher is required to join the Professional English courses. Students wishing to join an Exam Preparation course must have an appropriate level of English relevant to the exam they wish to take. • All fees are in £.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY OF THE SCHOOL
1.2 Cancelling your course before you start NON-VISA students:
If you want to cancel a course, you must do so in writing. You may cancel on the following conditions: There will be no penalty if you give us more than 5 working days’ (Monday to Friday) notice before the course begins (except one-to-one lessons and group bookings). A cancellation fee equivalent to 1 week tuition and the registration fee if you give us less than 5 working days’ notice before the course begins (except one-to-one lessons and group bookings). If you want to postpone a course, you must do so in writing. You may postpone on the following conditions: You must pay the full course fees by the original starting date of the course booked, and you must take the postponed course within 6 months of the original starting date. We will give you a credit towards the postponed booking as follows: 5 working days’ notice or more before the course begins (except one-to-one lessons and group bookings):100% credit of course fees paid. Less than 5 working days’ notice before the course begins (except one-to-one lessons and group bookings):100% credit of course fees paid minus the first week fee. A postponed booking cannot be postponed again or cancelled.
VISA students:
If you cancel your booking because of a visa refusal, we will refund any fees that you have paid minus the £100 registration fee if you send us the visa refusal letter issued by the British Embassy/Consulate. You must send us this at least 5 working days before your course begins. If you notify us later, we reserve the right to charge you in line with our normal cancellation terms. Please note that it is your responsibility to apply for your visa in good time. Refunds may take up to 3 weeks to process. No refund will be given if the visa application is withdrawn by the student (in this case normal cancellation rules will apply) or the student is asked to leave the country by British authorities.
1.4 Cancelling your course after you have started
No refunds of tuition and registration fees will be given by the school once you have started your course except for medical or other serious reasons. We are unable to offer a refund on any course to any student leaving early who requires a visa to study in the UK. Visas are granted on the understanding that the student will be taking a course at David Game College for the dates given in our offer letter. If you are a visa national and finish your course early we are obliged to inform the UK Visas and Immigration.
1.5 One-to-One tuitions
All fees must be paid before tuition begins. If you postpone private tuition (one-to-one) with less than 1 working day’s notice, you will not receive any credit for your fees and all late cancellations are charged at the full rate. The college reserves the right to appoint and rotate teachers. Punctual arrival is the student’s responsibility. The College will not extend the teaching time due to the late arrival. Tuition time and date may be changed with 1 working day’s notice and subject to availability of teaching staff and classrooms.
2.2 Cancelling your accommodation before arrival
For all College Residence, if you cancel 10 working days or less before your accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges and minus 1 week’s rent (except group bookings). If you cancel 11 working days or more before accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges (except group bookings).
For Residences such as Drapery, if you cancel 20 working days or less before your accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges and minus 1 week’s rent (except group bookings). If you cancel 21 working days or more before accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges (except group bookings).
Cancellation due to visa refusal: it is your responsibility to apply for your visa in good time and we reserve the right to charge you in line with our normal cancellation terms. Please make sure you book your accommodation after your visa is confirmed. Any visa refusal at the airport will incur our normal cancellation charges.
2.3 Cancelling your accommodation after arrival
Accommodation fees are non-refundable if you arrive late or leave early without sufficient notice. If you cancel your accommodation with less than 10 working days’ notice, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of 1 week’s rent for the College residences (Penywern, Fairholme and Dawes House). Accommodation fees are not refundable for other residences such as Liberty, Urbanest.

For all College Residence, if you cancel 10 working days or less before your accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges and minus 1 week’s rent (except group bookings). If you cancel 11 working days or more before accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges (except group bookings).
For Residences such as Drapery, if you cancel 20 working days or less before your accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges and minus 1 week’s rent (except group bookings). If you cancel 21 working days or more before accommodation start date, your accommodation fees will be refunded less any bank charges (except group bookings).
Cancellation due to visa refusal: it is your responsibility to apply for your visa in good time and we reserve the right to charge you in line with our normal cancellation terms. Please make sure you book your accommodation after your visa is confirmed. Any visa refusal at the airport will incur our normal cancellation charges.
2.3 Cancelling your accommodation after arrival
Accommodation fees are non-refundable if you arrive late or leave early without sufficient notice. If you cancel your accommodation with less than 10 working days’ notice, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of 1 week’s rent for the College residences (Penywern, Fairholme and Dawes House). Accommodation fees are not refundable for other residences such as Liberty, Urbanest.
Some important issues:
1. Cancellations or shortening of courses after Visa has been issued No refunds are granted to students failing to arrive or who are absent during their course.
2. Periods of absence are not compensated with free extensions at the end of the course.
3. In the case of students being granted a visa, non-arrivals, late arrivals and periods of absence will be reported to the immigration authorities.

A flat/apartment is your best option for cost effective, independent accommodation while learning English around your Course location. Usually the apartments are centrally located and close to local amenities like cafés, bars, restaurants, shops and buses and all are within walking distance of Course (maximum distance 15-20 minutes on foot) unless specified otherwise. Electricity and water meter readings will be taken every week and charges will be divided between the number of students sharing the apartment.
